LBA Attack: First AF lens... 55-300mm

I should stop visiting the forums... after ALL THESE pictures and raving about the DA 55-300 I purchased one in Amazon for $300 shipped last friday and received it yesterday already!

My first AF purchase... and after trying out the DA*16-50 last week at BH, I felt like the 55-300 was a electric saw: ttttiiiizzz tttuuuuzzzz tiiiizzzzz tuzzzz I am not used to AF noise i guess...

any how, I was surprised about its compact size (retract, by the way) and I took some pictures last night and seems like focus is spot on!

Yes, this LBA thing seems to be going around with this lens. I ordered one from Adorama today as well. I really wanted the DA 300mm f/4 but damn... I still need to upgrade my Cactus V2 radio gear to Pocket Wizards and this means I can repurpose (don't you just hate that kind of management speak?) some of that money.

......But hey, let's all move forward, think outside of the box and run some ideas up the flag pole, and see if they flap in the wind
