the lens of my dreams is a 4.5-200mm f1.0 constant with no CA's or vignetting and zero distortion at any focal length

it WILL be compact

it WILL be light

and it WILL be cheap

thats my dream lens.

Geeezus! Is that a lens or the product of a "Junkyard Wars" episode gone bad?

I guess some kid can use it as a muffler on his riced up honda? :P

I'm just trying to raise some money for my K20d, so I figured that I'd start by selling off my unloved lens collection

The only way this could be funnier is if the guy had it listed at $799 or some retarded price like the Tamron 28-75 that was on for $900 last week.

Mike you should find a trash K mount lens and use the K mount and attach it to that. It would make a great "street lens"!

The tan thingy is a special accessory known in the trade as a "rubber band". Sometimes very handy to have around.

I think that may be the answer to my Problems. I havent been using a "tan thingy". I knew you folks that post the reallllly good stuff on this forum had some secrets that you usually didn't mention, but they are dribbling out slowly. First Ben revealed the secret of the plastic Holga lens, and of course the dangers of the radioactive super tak lenses were revealed, and now the tan thingy.

As a technical matter, is it essential that a Pocari Sweat container is used or could another container work as well? I was thinking about a container of one of those reallllly bad Australian beers that our friends from the Antipodes keep trashing.
