No Love for the 16-45?

I absolutely love this lens, yes it's old now, and I believe it's been put out to pasture (correct me if wrong) but anyone else have and love it as much as I do? if it ever dies beyond repair and I can't find another I'll be crushed heh

Oh, I think this lens was quite beloved on these forums. But then it was discontinued and it slowly slipped into oblivion. If I remember right, the only complaint was slight barrel wobble at max extension, other than that, people loved it.
Great that you like it and I hope more people discover it thanks to this thread

I just got thru using a very kind member's 16-45. I really liked the lens. Comparison between the 18-55 and it, really did show quite a difference on the wide end.

It's a good lens for the price. I sold it because it was facing some tough competition from DA 15mm and Sigma 35mm Art, but I was happy with many of the pictures taken with it:\

However, I don't think it's worth 565 USD, though. I wouldn't pay more than 250.

I've been looking at getting this for a while now... Still not sure cos it isn't very long, which I prefer.... But the constant aperture is definitely a plus!

I have one that does not get much use anymore. It is going to be listed on PF. I just have not gotten around to listing it.

The 16-45 was used on my K5IIs and K3. For the money, it is an excellent lens. I think it is miles ahead of the 18-55. I am moving on to the K1 and need to get a wide full-frame zoom. I wish they had a more affordable mid range fixed aperture zoom like the 16-45.

It may be a decent lens, and they can ask $565 for it, but my guess is that they aren't going to sell (m)any at that price.

I love it. The 67mm filter pairs well with my DA* 60-250mm. Great travel lens. Would love if they updated this to be HD + WR.

I've had one for years. I bought it on PF marketplace when they were very popular. I think I paid around $250 for it. It is one of my most used lenses. It's much better than the 18-55.

You can buy this lens new currently for A$229 from Digidirect. I bought one a couple of years ago and been very happy with it. A much underrated lens and fantastic value for money
Apart from the constant aperture it also has handy close focusing capabilities.
