I believe the Irix is now past the original release date. Ramping up production from prototype to shipping worldwide by a totally new company is riddled with pitfalls. I have been apprehensive from the outset that Irix would go the way of Zunow. BTW: there's a rumor that Irix is also developing an 11mm f4 rectilinear for FF (!!!). Be sure you are facile with the de-vignetting slider.

The Irix does look very interesting, but I'll be waiting for plenty of user reviews, and maybe by then Pentax will have announced something.
