Ebay listing

I found a cosina 55mm f/1.2 on ebay and it's at a great price. According to the seller the front and back lens elements should be perfect and there's only a little bit of dust. But there's a small blemish on the lens shown in picture #5 and #6. It's most visible on #6. It's on the bottom just right of center. It looks too big and solid to be dust.

I sent a message to the seller yesterday but I haven't heard back yet.

What do you guys think it is? Should I go for it? or pass on the listing?

Honestly, that looks absolutely tiny to me. Really, really tiny - and it wouldn't put me off the lens. Whatever it is - dust, debris - it certainly won't show up in any images... Frankly, I've seen much worse in brand new lenses before

I doubt you would see that on full frame at f22. On apsc i dont think theres anything at all to worry about. Looks like a tiny piece of haor or fuzz or something.

I wouldnt let that stop me.

I'd buy it. If you plan on shooting toward the wide aperture end you will never see it anyway.

By some wizardry the lens arrived on my door step this morning. I've been fidgeting all day to get home to play with it.

one of the early photos is posted in the bokeh club thread.
