It shouldn't be a surprise they're not making a mirrorless lens in K mount.
The current Samyang mirror telephoto lenses are not very good. I hope for a new and better one, because my long telephoto lenses sometimes are prioritized away from the excursion because of weight. But these profiles all look like mirrorless designs. At least two of them with wide angle.

Any speculations on if this is new formulas of current primes or completely new focal lengths? Does any of the profile images match up with current lenses?
The first one (top left) definitely looks like a 85mm f/1.4 or f/1.2 for SLRs.

Only 5 new lenses? Are they even trying?

Hopefully they won't be super-expensive new cine designs, like the Tokina cine lenses.

It would be nice if they coughed up a 21mm full frame prime in pentax mount, even f2.8 would be good for me!<br />

Well CS is their mirrorless series so all lenses in the CS range are designed for short flange distances. In this case it's not a case of ignoring Pentax, the optical designs are simply not suitable for dslrs.
CS is for Crop Sensor, as in the two Samyang lenses I have with K mount (16mm f/2 CS and 8mm f/3.5 CS II Fisheye).

Yup.

They have a 85/1.4. A 1.2....only Canon makes that and it is *pricey*.

Ok, Nikon has one, I think? But it's not autofocus because the mount is too small. Can't get it all in there. This may be why Pentax didn't release a F/FA version of the A 50/1.2.

Nikon have no 85mm f/1.2 in their lineup. Zhong Yi Optics offer the Mitakon 85mm f/1.2 in Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K and Sony E mounts.

I wish Samyang would make a UWA lens for 645. I bet they would sell since the only other lenses at that range are $3-4K. Something in the 25-30mm range, f/4.5 would be plenty fast.

A lens like that could also double as a tilt/shift lens for full frame.

I wish they had an ~85mm f/1,4 for 645. Or even a ~80mm f/2,0

I understand. I was just a little exited for an alternative interpretation, as Samyang are making mirror lenses and there have been done very little modernizing on that since the seventies. A new mirror lens with an aperture (within the rear glass lenses), smoother edge transition, new coatings, new black baffle material, AF, and other improvements could potentially make waves and reintroduce mirror as an alternative to beasty long tele lenses.

Sorry for thinking out laud and 99,9% certain off topic.

Regarding AF compatibility complications, why don't they make a range measuring and focusing add on device completely independent of camera AF? It might be slow, it might be only a single spot metering, and it might be bothersome to calibrate, but it would be better then only manual focus. For instance based on laser or ultrasound or both. Its own battery for power and a motor to turn the AF ring.

Yes indeed! The Zeiss 2.8/21 is incredible, incredibly hard to find, and priced incredibly high.

I said "it would be nice if Samyang made a 135mm f/2" a couple years ago and they delivered with flying colors - so you never know.

Nope. There are lots of used ZF versions available most of the time and they go for 700-900 EUR. Add 67 EUR for the Leitax mount and you are good to go if you think that is an interesting lens.

I can! It sez...

Kenko-Tokina will offer for sale a Samyang 50mm F1.2 AS UMC CS lens on 7/22. It is believed the retail price will be 75,000 yen. The colors will be black and silver.

It is a mirrorless telephoto lens covering the image circle of the APS-C format. It will be introduced for Canon EF-M, Sony E, Fujifilm X, and micro 4/3rs.

The lens components include 2 aspherical elements among 7 groups of 9 elements. There are 9 aperture blades. Filter size is 62mm. Lens hood is attached.

The dimensions are 67.5×73〜74.5mm and the weight is 375g〜385g. (These differ with the mount.)

In addition, for use on the same mirrorless APS-C systems there is a 21mm F1.4 ED AS UMC CS coming soon.
By the way this look like a very interresting lens. Fuji lenses are expensive. Sony when they are good are VERY expensive and Oly/Pana don't have equivalent.

With AF, fast apperture and targetting mirrorless they open a new market where nobody ventured before.

The Samyang 50mm f/1.2 AS UMC CS, the lens MadMathMind is talking about, is a manual focus APS-C lens, not to be mistaken with the Samyang AF 50mm f/1.4 FE (autofocus, 24x36).
