Some context. The A50/2 was $43.95 in 1990 ($81.05). The F50/1.7 was 73.95 ($136.38). The F135/2.8 $142.95 ($265.47). The F100/2.8 Macro $418 ($770.88) The F600/4 was $4999 ($9219).

The F35-70 was $125 ($230.53). The F24-50 $275 ($507.16). The F250-600 was $5729 ($10,567.47). The F1.7x TC was $89 ($164.13).

The point is that the 50/1.2s are about the only lens that has increased in value over the years. The F1.7x TC has as well.

The Honeywell list price for the K50/1.2 in June 1975 was $287.50. In today's dollars that's $1,288.07!!
