I had a Canon mount once before, and it was an insanely sharp copy wide open. The bokeh was much creamier than the Sigma 70-200mm that I had later. Why did I change to the Sigma? I needed the focusing speed.

That is okay, I have suddenly got the case of LBA and looking hard on ebay. Actually only bidding on the ones I find that look like nobody else is watching , so followed another one last night and it ended well past my bed time. wondering if anyone here got this one. eBay: Pentex ME Super + lenses and flash (item 260084450608 end time Feb-13-07 21:42:30 PST)

those that think you can't find deals still on ebay are not looking hard enough. I was not at all bothered I did not get this one and almost shared it with everyone before the bidding ended to see if anyone else was interested. But then I got a worried that maybe someone else was bidding from here and did not want to drive it out of control. Still the winner I think got a decent lot. well, maybe a littel high but still not bad. Wonder what he would have got had he spelled more then half the words right

IMHO, both the manual focus and the autofocus Tokina AT-X 80-200/2.8's are quite good buys. For exposure convenience with the manual focus version, it is worth looking for the ones with Ka-mount trim - there are both pre-A K-mount and full Ka-mount versions out there.
