Looking for Extreme Fisheye Lens

This there anything near a 5mm FE for Pentax mount?

I have a Lomography FE film camera that produces similar images to Sigma's 4.5mm FE, but they do not make a Pentax mount of this.

Thanks.

I think that the widest you can go is 8mm: PELENG

I was recently outbid on ebay for an old 8mm circular fisheye lens from Sigma. I doubt it would have the black area all around the image but I'm sure the effect would be more pronounced that the current DA 10-17mm.

The shortest lens that I believe has ever made was the 6mm/2.8 Nikkor. It had a field of view of 220.
There may have been an Alpa lens that was shorter still, but I am too lazy to google it.

If you really need something that wide, the you may as well buy a body to go with it. The camera will be the least expensive part of the purchase by probably a factor of 10.

dg,

As you know the Sigma 4.5mm f2.8 is one extreme lens, and I'm always amazed by the images it produces.

Sigma would most likely make this lens in a Pentax mount, if there was enough demand for it.
If everyone here interested in it was to write to Sigma requesting it the I would imagine that there's a chance.

The other option I can see is. If you'll be looking for a second body in the near future you might want to look at the Sigma SD14.
You can run most of the Pentax manual focus lenses on it with a small mod, and they still work just about as good on the Pentax.
Even better in a way, since you can use AV
And the SD14 is very affordable at the moment, I believe that it's less than $700.00 USD.

I shoot both Sigma and Pentax. And in my personal opinion they compliment each other.
