Ha ha what div I am. just watched the video. Made a comment on focus breathing not realising what it was. Makes me think I do not have the knowledge about photography that maybe I should have. Think I should hang my head in shame and sell all my kit and take up a less complicated hobby. Yours truly, Richard Head !!

No need to do that Geoff !!! If we all sold our kits after making a little boo boo and took up another hobby, there would only be Adam and a couple of others here, and a huge glut of great Pentax gear going cheap. Learning is trial and ERROR !!! Cheers.

If I sold a bit of my gear every time I misunderstood something, I'd have no equipment left!

Only jesting peeps. Hence the Richard sign off. I cant even trade stuff for new kit coz I like it too much. All that's happened is I've slid back down the learning curve. That's why i like this site so much. Loads of help here ❤

However far up the learning curve I may be (and I occasionally despair that it's not so far as I'd like), I wouldn't have got this far this quickly without the help and knowledge of numerous forum members here

One question about my used DA* 60-250

Hi talkskiwon. Are you OK with that lovely DA* 60-250 of yours now?

Thanks for checking me back on this thread. I love the lens. It is very very sharp and even has some nice bokeh that I didn't even expect. However, I learned that the lens just cannot go 250mm range (or it just don't extend from 200mm). Just never happened with my setups no matter how far I shoot. Some people from other sources say that the focus breathing needs to be warned on the description and I agree on that note, even though the lens itself is great.

Very good to hear that you are happy with the lens now. As Mike ( @BigMackCam ) said in his post, there is not much difference between 200mm & 250mm.
The quality of the photographs taken with the 60-250 is so high that you can easily crop images if you cannot get the reach you need with the lens. Enjoy your lens. I enjoy mine very much. Happy shooting in the future.

Glad to hear it's working out for you.

As per Peter's comment, sharpness of the 60-250 is such that you can crop, crop and crop some more I bought the HD 1.4x rear converter for use with the 60-250, and I do use it from time-to-time, but often I'm lazy and just crop. The K-3 / K-3II's sensor and the sharpness of the lens mean you can be quite aggressive and still get very detailed shots.

As an aside... Though it's not the lightest bit of kit to hand-hold for long periods, it makes a fine portrait lens too. I've only played around with it in this application, but I really like the results and intend to do some planned portrait shots with it. At f/4 it's not going to offer really shallow depth-of-field, but with a reasonable distance from subject to background, the bokeh is lovely
