Aftermarket hood for 24-70 FA* lens

My entire purpose for getting into the K1 & 24-70 was wet weather shooting. I am looking to get a larger hood (likely collapsible) for the lens to keep rain off the front element. Has anyone experimented with this and found one that will work without vignetting? Other thoughts?

The SP coating does a great job of repelling water, so I'm not sure this is something you even need to worry about

But there is not the Pentax SP coating like at the 150-450 or older DA* lenses.
It's an good coating, but not the same.
I have to clean it much more and it's like night&day to the Pentax SP.
The old FA* line is using a coating like SP.

Just to clarify, I am not worried about the lens being damaged, and I will have a B+W XS-Pro filter on there. I am primarily trying to get a hood that is long enough that it will kelp keep unwanted water spots off the lens which would ruin pictures. Where I like is well known for "sideways" rain, so the shallowness of the factory hood lacks the protection I am hoping for...

Maybe something like this?

Sensei 82mm 3-in-1 Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood for 28mm LHR-T82

You'll probably get a bit of vignetting with a hood this size, though.

Yes, that is what I was ready to order off ebay, I was just wanting to see if anyone had already done something similar with success.
