Just in the door, a Asahi-Kogaku 58mm f2.4 arrived. Whats new to me, is that the focusing ring is black. And to me it seems to be made that way. Does anyone have any info on this? Seen similar? Google comes up with nothing.

I have seen the 83 in both colors. Probably they did the same with the 58.

I've seen both 83 versions but not this one. The Screwmount Guide doesn't mention it. Strange still.
