Originally posted by Snydly I'm assuming the software that came with my k1 will have a profile for that lens. I haven't installed it yet as I use PS CS5 for everything. I knew that wouldn't last when the Cloud version appeared. I just don't edit enough to pay for an ongoing subscription.
And yes, even though I've only used the DFA 70-200 one day, all the photo's I took came out nice. No CA correction needed, just a little distortion, but I think there is more to the correction than that. I know there is the vignette correction as well. Nothing much there either as far as I could tell.
I shot most of my son's football game at ISO 3200/6400. K1 had some noise, but Topaz DN6 handled it perfectly. I really like that program. Guess I shouldn't say that. They might make it cloud only as well.
I was using my DA* 50-135 on my k1 in FF mode for the previous games. Worked great, but I wanted a little more reach. Needed to crop a little but at 135mm it's nice. Going from a k5iis/50-135 combo to a k1/70-200 was a bit of a shock.
The lens is really nice though...

Thanks for the comments regarding Pentax D-FA 70-200mm. I have been planning to get this lens but did not fine many reviews. Could you please let me know how is the sharpness at F2.8 at various focal lengths? I do not care about extreme border (just at the center and a little off-center is what I am looking for). Also any noticeable change/improvement in stopping down to F4 or F5.6?
I have used both Canon and Nikon 70-200 lenses and both of them are great. Though Nikon has focus breathing, it is very sharp less.
