Gemini Lenses

I was just gifted with a very clean Super Program with three lenses. The first is the well known SMC Pentax-A 1:1.7 50mm. One is a "Vivitar 28-80mm 1:3.5-5.6 Macro Focusing Zoom Lens" (PK-A/R)? and the other is a Gemini 1:4.5 80-200mm Macro MC Zoom 55. I'm not finding much about the Gemini.

The Vivitar 28-80 pretty much crapped out in the reviews. Does anyone know anything about the Gemini 80-200 #M840217720?

Gemini was just a reseller like Vivitar. They were sold at stores that didn't have their own brand name. I would wager to guess that your lens was made in Korea?

Just stumbled on this thread now... Yes, Gemini is like Vivitar in that regard but they are made in Japan, as is marked on my 28mm f/2.8. I have to say, I've enjoyed using it since the mid 80s and am quite happy with its results.
