It may have been quirky and prone to getting washed out in bright sunshine, but when you need the reach on a budget, it wasn't a bad lens. It enabled me to get a rather nice closeup of a tree swallow earlier this year. Got several nice images that I actually had printed on paper as well, so the $75 investment wasn't bad. As with all lenses, it had its quirks and flaws, but it does have its uses from time to time. At least it didn't have that melty rubberized coating that my sigma DL 75-300 has (which unfortunately I'm back to using until I find a suitably cheap as hell substitute).
