The shackles of LBA has been lifted from me. I no longer have any desire to lurk and scavange for lenses. I have reached my goals of what lenses to have. I set a goal a few months back and today, I did the last purchase. Sure there are some lenses I could still accept into my collection. But I will not be looking for them activly.

No more do I feel a need to search for lenses. HAH! I laugh in the face of all you who are not statisfied with your collections. HAH! I laugh at you that are still stuck in the filth and mud called Ebay. HAH! I laugh at all that have not yet reached the light!

... Now it's time to plan what Medium Format system to get into.

Congrats.

I'm pretty darn close myself. Just that elusive 200/2.5 for witch I still am hunting.
And maybe upgrading the M*300/4 to a A*300/4.

Otherwise I'm just fine and dandy.

The 31 remains a dream unless I win the lottery.

I'm in a similar position myself, as I have 1 lens left to buy and that's the DA12-24 and my collection shall be complete--in other words, I won't have any more lenses that I will "need" to buy. Anything else I buy beyond that will be icing on the cake. With that, thoughts of a wide prime and the *50-135 or 70-200/2.8 still float around in my head, but they can wait.

After I buy the 12-24, then my next goal is to save up for a photo workshop that I want to go to next spring, which will run me about $555 + gas for the car to get there and back.

Beyond that, I'll be looking towards getting a second body--which body will depend on what Pentax produces at Photokina. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to get a K20 with the K10 as a backup or get a K100D Super as the backup to the K10.

A smaller-priced item that I would like to add to my bag is a meter--most likely the Sekonic L358.

Seems like a very good collection even now if you ask me.

I'm guessing that 28 is actually f3.5, but great lenses there Zewrak.

So, you don't say which lens you won to finish your collection.
Were you the one that outbid me on the 85mm

BTW One at the short end and one at the long will do it for me, but I m going to hold off for some time. I just added the Tamron 28-75 and Super Tak for portrait and walkaround. Their on the way as we speak.
The LBA rollercoaster of the last few months has been interesting. I've learned a lot.
What has been most interesting though is the diference of use and style/technique of the lenses I've researched. I've seen a lot of great work.

This was one of the ones I got: Pentax 85mm SLR lens on eBay, also To Fit Pentax, For 35mm SLR, Camera Lenses, Photography (end time 25-Jul-08 17:41:49 BST)

The other one (mint I may add), I bought from a local collector.

I decided to get only Takumars and sell of the rest about 2 months ago. Then I had the 300, 150 and 35. And I have been lucky and not had to spend loads. The 55 I got for 10$, the 50 Macro I got for 60$, the 200/4 cost me 22$ and the 85, well you can see in the link above. The 20mm was given to me by a friend. The 105 cost me ~70$.

I admire your achievement. I would do the same only I don't have the discipline... I want to play around with lesser lenses to teach myself just what I respond to in a lens.

So I'm not off the LBA mill, although I may switch again to the hunt for another old MF folder.

(My latest is a Rikenon 135mm, figuring I like my Ricoh Diacord lens more than the Yashica Mat's, so maybe this will be a decent 135.)
