Full Frame Wide angle?

I like wide angles.

When all I had was the kit lens, almost all of the pictures I took were shot at 18mm (where this lens suck...).
Because I love wide angles, I feel like I would benefit strongly from a full frame DSLR. I won't be able to buy one before decades, but I am planing ahead so I am trying to buy only FF lenses.
This being said, I am looking for a lens that would do FF and has a FOV equivalent to a 24mm and/or less on a 35mm.
So far the only ones I have found is the Sigma 12-24. and the SMC A/K 15mm.

Am I missing some?
Which would you recommend?

at 12-24mm the sigma has to be the widest full frme zoom./

the 10-20 vignettes badly until at least 13mm (at least that is what I see in the viewfinder of my *istD)

the 10-20 is the only non full frame lens in my kit, because I wanted to get really wide.

The MC Zenitar 16/2.8 is a possible choice if cost is a consideration. I believe that current pricing is about $200 through various online vendors. I think there is also one listed in the marketplace for somewhat less than that.

It is not rectilinear (180 degree diagonal fisheye on FF) and is manual focus, but is capable of providing results that are comparable to lenses costing five times more. Check out the Zenitar pool at Flickr for example photos.

Thanks for the advice, but I already have something pretty similar to the zenitar in my kit: the sigma 15mm.
So the fisheye is taken care off, I now need something rectilinear!

If you need a rectilinear at less than 18mm, you might try to find a Tamron SP 17/3.5. They come up every once in a while at auction. That lens has a good reputation.

I could be wrong but wouldn't anything below18 mm be a fisheye on a full frame camera? You would be able to use the Takumar, K, and A series all have lenes that are 15-18mm and these are all full frame lenses unless I am mistaken

Try to find Carl Zeiss Jena MC Flektogon 20mm /2.8 - very nice lens

The pentax FA J 18-35 is cheap and wide, but with a plastic mount. It's been my only zoom for the better part of this year, though I'm considering the 16-45 or 16-50 to get wider on APS-C (my 35mm SLR is an MX that needs an aperture ring to work)

The Pentax FA20-35/4 is a great wide angle zoom lens for full frame. Other than this one, I've had A20/2.8, M20/4, A15/3.5, K18/3.5, FA*24/2, K and A24/2.8, all are pretty nice super wide angle lenses. Just pick which ever focal length you like the most, can't go wrong w/ either one

You're wrong. The Sigma 12-24mm is a rectilinear full frame lens. As are the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 and Canon 14mm f/2.8.

You're right about any Takumar, K, and A lenses being "full frame", as they have been around since the old days of film, when everything was full frame

Hello friend! In fact there was a Tamron 14/2.8 rectilinear in Pentax mount in the marketplace some months back, not sure if it was still available or not.

Thank you all for your advice.
Since i was looking for something 16mm or wider the only prime option were the SMCs K and A 15mm and the tamron 14mm.
But the price of those is insane! Almost $1000 for either...
So I settled for the Sigma 1224. Tristate camera has a pretty good deal on them right now.
I also got the extended warranty so I will make sure that I get a good copy. The difference between the test of the Canon mount and Nikon mount on photozone had me worried.

I will post pictures in the lens review section as soon as I know a little more!

OK but I was talking specifically about Pentax primes in those three series in me post was not making a general observation about all glass below 18 mm from everyone
