To curb my LBA

LBA hit me really hard !!! Now I am trying to buy Pentax FA 43mm limited..

I have the other two limited lenses (both 31mm and 77mm) and wondering how good is Pentax 43mm limited (Since I already have the other 2 limited lenses).

Any suggestions ?

Sorry: while I don't have either of the other ones, the 43 is my favorite lens whose potential seems I've only begun to mine.

Thats would be the worst thing for me

Regarding 43mm, I feel that it is too close in range between my 31mm limited and M-50mm f/1.4. Also I am about to acquire a Tamron 17-50 from my friend

Bought the FA43 on a whim, after already owning the FA77, and the DA35 and DA40 and FA50. It immediately became my favorite lens and my sharpest lens. I really wasn't expecting that at all. I had purchased it for portraits in that focal length, thinking that it would perform better than the FA50 (which it did) and give me more open aperture and bokeh than the DA40 (did that as well) I wasn't expecting the FA43 to replace either lens for other purposes, but it soon became a general purpose and a walk around lens soon enough.

I soon sold the FA50 and the DA40, after shooting all 3 side by side for a week. The colors were better than the DA40 and way better than the FA50. And over all sharper than my DA40, which was sharper than my FA50. I then bought the FA31 (just because I liked the FA43 so much) The FA43 I have is still sharper than my FA31, and 77. Compared with the FA50, FA77 ltd, and FA31 ltd. The FA43 (again, at least the copy I have) exhibits the least Purple Fringing of the four, the FA77 showing the most, and the least CA with the FA31 showing the most.

So this wasn't the lens at the top of my list before-hand (and I actually crossed it off after getting the DA40), but became my favorite after I bought and used it, and so glad I did.

You don't need it. Do not click on this link https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/photographers-marketplace/33340-three-fa-...wide-zoom.html you do not need it ,,, do not click on this link https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/photographers-marketplace/33340-three-fa-...wide-zoom.html

As others have already stated - it is an addiction - sometimes with buyer's remorse but the beauty is you can sell with little if any loss and there is always someone who will click on this link https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/photographers-marketplace/33340-three-fa-...wide-zoom.html

Very true.. Now I saw a Tamron 180mm f2.5 which is a rare model

Now debating whether buy that one or the 43mm limited. Not sure I will be using the 180mm much (I usually shoot wide and portraits). But because the Tamron 180mm f2.5 is a rare lens (heard that it is one of the perfect lens), I am thinking of getting that...
