Hi,
I just got a zenitar 16mm f2.8 fisheye, and so far so good, it's sharp (really sharp) in the range f5.6-f11 on my K3. But the question is, how does this lens perform on a K1 ? Did anyone try it on the K1 ? Is it good, bad, meh ?

Great centre sharpness, pretty soft at the edges unless stopped down significantly.

I've not tried one (I have a Samyang FF fish-eye) but pretty much inevitably with any/all lenses regardless of FL, the edges & corners will be softer on FF than on APS-C.

sure, I'd love to see the fisheye effect on FF it's not very "fishy" on my K3

Thanks for sharing your link. I don't have a K-1 , but have shot my Zen on 35mm film on occasion. Your results pretty much mirror mine. If attention is given to accurate focus, center sharpness is very good to excellent at narrower apertures. As with most ultrawides, there are issues with edge elements falling outside the plane of focus* and available DOF. This results in soft corners with some subjects and as your examples show, this softness may be mild or virtually non-existent depending on subject and aperture.

* The notion of "plane of focus" is a little inappropriate since the range of points of focus on the Zen define a curved rather than a flat surface. FWIW, this is not the same as field curvature.
