Pentax HD PENTAX D FA* 70-200mm f/2.8 ED DC AW Lens Length

Is the spec for the actual length of this lens (w/o hood) 7.9 inches? It gives the 7.9 inch spec in places I have looked and I want to make sure it is referring to lens w/o hood attached.

Yup that's without the hood. With the hood you're close to a foot in length.

Thank you Adam. That is nice of you to give me the with hood measurement also. Those are the measurements I was interested in.
