My lens lineup had to be severely curtailed due to a move down under. It's hard to fault any of the FA limiteds, and the FA43 is one I've really appreciated on FF - that slightly wider than normal FOV is great. To be honest though, I'm going to have to say my favourite lens has been the DA*300.

As for non Pentax lenses, I don't currently own any. I have however been eyeing up the Irix 15mm f2.4 blackstone (which I'll probably jump on when they become available in Australia)

Re: What Is Your Favorite Lens On Your K1 Camera?

So far my fave non-Pentax is the Tamron 17-35mm which I find I'm using it more than any other lens. My fave Pentax is probably the FA 77mm Ltd which just narrowly beats out the FA* 85mm.

Me definitely the FA* 85mm. I had it and the 77mm simultaneously. While the 77mm is more compact and prettier, to me it was no contest between the two.
I have both and agree completely.
I'll take the '77 when I need a compact kit - otherwise the '85 smokes it!

FA 31 LTD & Voigtlander Ultron 40mm f/2

Both high up there. The Ultron was my most used lens on film, and I expected to use it more on the K1. That may happen yet.

I must admit it's still the same lens that I used back in my film days, she has just moved across in to digital so gracefully... my "Special Lady” (Pentax-A 50mm F1.2) complete with her "Unholy Alliance" (Nikon HS-2 lens hood).

Generally for quick shooting (auto focus), low light and bargain price, the 50mm 1.8 is a real winner.

I also love my modified 60-250 F4 (for kids sports / nature) and 50mm 1.2 (for the SHALLOW depth of field but tough to focus fast).

I did a sort through thousands of photos and picked out my favorites and a high percentage were on the nifty 50mm 1.8 - which I found a bit shocking. I also just like using my 40mm 2.8 Pancake since it is so small..... Also throw on the DA 28-105 as my kit lens when I want standard range, but it's not my go to....

Lots of options.

My favorite Pentax lens is my FA-PZ 28-105. It isn't my best lens, but I love the range and it works with my film bodies. I'll eventually upgrade it, hopefully to a DFA 24-120 or something...

My favorite non-Pentax lens is probably my Zenitar 16mm fisheye. I don't use it much, but it's fun to have it "fully fishy" on the K1.

I have so many I can't chose just one, but recently the K35/3.5 has been showing its colors.

Yep, the DA50 is great.

Someone said it can vignette ... welcome to full frame, lots of full frame lenses vignette, it's just you won't have noticed if you've had the luxury of shooting only on APS-C.

For instance, Ken Rockwell found of the Nikon full frame 50mm f1.8:

Does it vignette severely (as severely as that Nikon 50mm, for example)? None of my lenses vignette particularly badly, in fact, it's usually subtle enough on my 70-200 to just leave it as an effect.

You're asking me to pick my favourite child? Not fair.
