There's plenty of great shots with 6 MP. Look for photos from Lukastrika (K100D?) and Trailseeker (DL User) and Trawlerman (Samsung GX-1L), just to name off a few who first come to mind.

I even print 8x10's with a 2 MP Fuji P&S. So don't fall for what some call the megapixel trap.

Fisheye shots earlier...

Enjoy!

The Tamron 90-300

Allie, I just did a *real* quick web search and I looks like the Tamron will not be of much use to you. If it doesn't have an aperture ring all you can do is use it wide open (ie at 4.5 ) there is no way to make the aperture smaller. Also it doesn't seem to be a very good lens in any case, I saw one on eek bay for $24. But you can find other cheap zooms in that focal range and with aperture rings. I'd check out manual focus zooms, they are a LOT cheaper than the AF ones.

NaCl(and add my "vote" for the K100D, with the money saved you can get an extra lens or two)H2O

Allie,

Lukastrika is a K10 User. Sorry Kjask is a DS user as is NaClH20

(Thanks for posting your 50's salty!)

Here's some shots...you can see some great shots from the two of them here.

If you have to pay this off over a long period of time, get the k100d over the k10d. Debt is a very bad thing!

I'm VERY happy with my k100d and it does the job for me! Check out my shots at my sig - all taken with k100d.

(If there isn't much difference of course I'd prefer the cheaper option so I don't have to completely blow the limit on my credit card! )

Buy the cheaper K100D, and invest in a good lens (like the 16-45). 6 MP are enough for any use (unless you need wall-enlargements to be sees from mere inches).
