Macro lens decision

I recently (today) sold my loved fa 50mm 2.8 macro because it just did not fit into my lens path plan.
With a DA 40mm limited and the need for a longer macro the 50mm was sold to fund a NEW macro... sooooo....
I've been looking at 3 (kinda 4) and I want to know if anyone has any opinions on these...

1) sigma 70mm ex macro
2) tamron 90mm di macro
3) FA pentax 100mm macro
4) D-FA pentax 100mm macro.*

*I think from what i've seen the FA is supposed to be superior (like the 50) but I am wondering if anyone has a different opinion.

What would you use for handheld macro shooting? ?

I have been looking at a macro lenses as well.
I think that I will go for the Tamron. I feel like the sigma is too short, and the Tamron seams to be doing very well, not only as a macro, but also as a telephoto and a portrait lens. And, it is a lot cheaper than the Pentax ones...
Unless i find a very nice used pentax, I think that the tamron will make it to my bag before the end of the year!

Dont forget to check the sigma 105

the tammy 90 and sigma 105 both have some good shots posted on here

I still love my Vivitar series 1 105 but when I got mine last year they were going for 250.... now at 500 I would be grabbing that tammy 90 if the rebate for 90 bucks was still going on....

If you'd rather not fool with the rebate on a new Tammy 90, KEH has 3 used ones for sale ranging in price from $310 to $325.

Deudeu brings up a point I forgot about.. I would like to use this lens not just for macro but as probably a portrait lens as well...
The Tamron seems to have a pretty good following

As far as pricing goes, I've found the Sigma and Tamron around 370 or so new, the FA 100mm at 410 and the d-fa at around 550

I just picked up the Tamron for macro, but with nothing interesting to shoot at in my area, I started doing some portrait and using it as a walkaround lens. The portraits are killer and on par if not better than my 50mm f1.4 lens.

I can't speak for the other lenses, but the Tamron has impressed me thus far. I've seen good macros come out of it too shot by other members here.
