I've just received my copy today. Looks really sharp on my K-1 right from the beginning (f2.8)! Good start!

It's an addictive lens. After a while, I had to stop putting it on the camera. Once on the camera it controls your mind.

Alright, very first test shots with my model, good old buddy Bruno .

I like the how it handles on a K-1, the weight is reasonable, so is the size. Just the hood could be shorter. I'm wondering whether it's because it was meant to be used on APS-C bodies?

Anyway, hope you like what you see. I'm pretty confident that it will be a keeper. Focus is spot on as far as I can say. Even f2.8 works.

As they say in Deutschland Vunderbar! The DA *200 also makes for a nice portrait lens as well.

Which shutter speeds (and then aperture / ISO) do you use with your hand-held DA 200 mm?
My handheld pictures with DA 200 mm are not sharp enough, while tripod is not practical with toddlers' shots (I try to use monopod with DA 200 mm but find DA* 2.8/50-135 mm more handy, esp. DA 200 mm has no 1/2'' screw socket nor tripod collar).
I try to use 1/160 sec with DA* 50-135mm at the long end (indoors with flash, as 1/200 sec shutter calls very limited range high-speed flash mode) up to 1/640 sec outdoors, which requires a lot of light (sun or bright skies) not to go beyond 1600 ASA.

Just press "View Picture EXIF" and you can access the most important data.

Well, I haven't used it very often so I cannot say if it's problematic in terms of shutter speed and unsharp results. So far no problem here. (Quite the contrary: I'm stunned how sharp this lens is, even wide open)

On my k-3 I have shot very low shutter speeds without issue.

A few in this set are as low as 1/125 but I've shot slower with good results. Single In December 2016 (DA* 200) | Flickr
