Sigma Art 30mm f1.4 or 18-35mm f1.8?

You can buy the Sigma 30 1.4 plus a Samyang 16mm f2 for astro, for about the cost of a Sigma 18-35. But only you can tell if you are more of a prime or a zoom lens kind of guy.
For me, the 30 1.4 fits perfectly so that is what I went for.

The 30 has a few friends on the forum but a lot of enemies.

I'd still go for the 35, which I own - it's outstanding. You go for Pentax if you want light like the Limiteds, but Sigma for lots of corrective glass.

Pentax FA 35mm f2 is probably worth considering if you can source one
