Which 50/1.4 is best wide open?

Hi everyone! I'm looking to get a 50/1.4, but don't know which one to get. I will basically be using it only for super-low-light situations, or when I need a very shallow DOF. I just need to know which 50/1.4 performs best when it's wide open.
Thanks!

If you're looking for auto focus the current production model, which is FA 50mm F1.4 is one of the best. You can purchase it for about $200. It's one of the best values for the money and most people start their LBA with it. You can also buy a slightly older model, the F 50mm 1.7 but it is out of production and you have to buy it used. I think it sells for about $150. But beware that they are quite a few copies floating around and changing hands that have either front focus or back focus problems. So if you get a bad copy you probably can't get your money bck that easily. Just go for the current production model and you'll be very happy with it.

The FA50/1.4 appears to be the best, with the K50/1.4 close behind.
They are all really close though.

check out some of the results from the new Sigma 50 1.4 (not sure about availability). from initial samples, the wide open performance looks very good, beyond the capabilities most of the standard 50s.
