Need tele...

I'm planning to upgrade my zoom. Now I have 80-320 and it is a bit on the slow side. As I'm invited to shot friends wedding (I know it is a bad thing if you do for your friend), I need something a bit faster and with good/better IQ.

I'm planning to shot mainly with Pentax 16-45 (indoors then I need to be wide) and Tamron 28-75 (all other shots), but for the (lets say) 1% of the shots I need tele. I know if I were pro, I would buy 50-135 f/2.8, but I'm not. And I would like to spend much less. Lets say in the same price level as Pentax 55-300 what You suggested me (50/70 – 150/300mm)?

Either the DA 50-200 or 55-300. So far from what I've seen here they are both a bit better than the 80-320.

No offense intended here, but I've never required anything faster than f5.6 on a wedding shoot.
I only use f2.8 or faster lenses on them, but I haven't required the extra speed yet.

So if your getting good results with your 80-320 it might just serve you well.

I should also point out that I haven't needed anything longer than 70mm

Although I always bring longer lenses along for the ride.

I could have used something wider than 24mm this last wedding as well, but didn't have a chance to snap anything on for the 5 or so shots.
