Please help me with some lenses

Hello all

I'm new on this forum and I'm very glad I found it (because I'm also a fan of Pentax cameras).

I just bought a K20 camera(only the body) and now I'm in a big dilema. Which lenses should I buy for this 14,6 megapixels camera?

Now please let me explain you what I need this lenses for (probably in this way you will know what to recommend):

I also manage a website and would like to sell some prints from my photos.

1. Usually I'm interested to take closer floral and insects photos then to print them on canvas. But I don't know which lenses to use for this job. I don't want to be forced by the lenses to take photos very..very closely because I would also like to show in my photos some fonts or backgrounds of a flower for example. Is SMC Pentax-DA 70mm F2.4 Limited good for this job?

2. I'm also interested to make some beautiful landscapes. For example I have many fields of sunflowers in my country or beautiful trees.

Should I buy two lenses: one for macro and one for landscapes? Can I find 2 in 1? I only have 700 USD For this investment. I do not need very much zoom. All I want is quality.

Thank you.

Since you don't want to get too close to your subjects, but still want to get fairly close, but also want to the lens to be able to take landscapes, my suggestion would be the Sigma 17-70. Obviously, it has a decent wide end, but it also does a good job with closeups. If you want to see what this lens can do, take a look at this:
Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro Lens Sample Photos and Specifications
This lens is an excellent value at under $400 brand new.

If you'd rather have a prime, the DA35/2.8 macro might be a good choice, as I've done both landscapes and closeup with excellent results. In the US, it runs in the $500-550 range, although if you go on Fleabay and buy from Prodigital2000, you can get it for a good bit less.

Here are a couple of examples that I took:

Thank you so much for your reply.

I found Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 DC Macro Lens you suggested very good. But can you compare it with Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC SLD ELD Aspherical Macro Lens? Wich one is better? Some users are saying that 18-50mm f/2.8 is sharper, contrastier and crispier than 17-70 at any focal length at wide apretures.
The prices seems to be the same but I do not know which one to buy.

I also want to take full advantage of my CMOS sensor of 14,5 megapixels processor.

also check, who have tested these lenses as well
if you need the speed, go with the 2.8 fixed, if you need the extra width and reach, go with the 17-70

If you want quality go to two lenses. For landscapes I would choose the pentax 16-45, and for macro work try and find a tamron 90mm f2.5 manual focus on ebay. You should be able to purchase these in your budget range.
