The Pentax-A 200/4 is optically
the same as similar to the M 200/4 and a decent compromise for weight, size, and performance. The A* 200/2.8 is an entirely different class of lens at a premium price point. The screw mount Takumar 200/3.5 is a heavy beast and I am not sure that I would recommend it of the A-series lens, though there are several users on this site that swear by it.
Given that the OP has not been offered a new-in-box A* 200 or Tak 200* for $60 and given that an A-series lens offers significantly easier operation on current model Pentax dSLRs, my advice would be to snatch the lens up if they want a prime at that focal length.

* There was a Tak 200/3.5 in a shop here in the Portland area a few years back. A friend of mine paid about $150 for it. I was impressed by the build, but never had a chance to mount it up for test shots. My loss...
