I have a "different" idea. Maybe you could just paint over that small section with black paint. That will eliminate lens flair caused by the crack. It will make the wide open bokeh a little different though. Just a thought....

Well, seems like the insurance company will pay me for the damaged lens so that´s good news. Even better is I might have found another good copy nearby from a dear Pentaxican friend. Hopefully the pain will go away...
