What Lens?

Hi, I wanted to ask advice on lenses for my newly acquired K10D, I’ve got a Sigma 18-50 and a Tokina AT-X 24-200. I like the zoom range of the later but I don’t seem to get the sharpness in the pics, which I want to try to get. What is a good sharp lens with good zoom range for walk around shooting?

I have the Samsung 50-200 to my K10D and I have noticed that I mostly shoot around ~100mm. So my next lens will be the DA*50-135. From the pictures I have seen it is reaaaally sharp but it is also quite expensive, but it is at least one suggestion.

I would verify that its the lens and not your technique or focussing--see what you can wring out of the lens on a tripod with low ISO and careful exposure and manual focussing. See how it compares in the overlapping range with your Sigma.

There are lots of choices (I like FA 24-90 f/3.5-4.5 for this purpose, others might tell you Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4.5, Tamron/Pentax 18-250, etc.) but I wouldn't suggest glass shopping until you're convinced that lens sharpness is the actual issue. Also consider posting some of your 'problem' images (with EXIF intact) and allow people to see whether it matches their expectations, make suggestions, etc.
