What a Raynox does to a Tamron 70-300mm

The images are uncropped.

Tamron 70-300mm @ 300mm, F/18 (1:2 macro)

Tamron 70-300mm + Raynox 250 @ 300mm, F/40 (2.7:1 macro).

A cicada is a large insect, but the Tamron/Raynox makes it look the size of a buffalo.

The Raynox did the job. By the way, which model of the Raynox did you use? I have a Raynox for wide angle but have not tried one for macro photos yet.

I'm not sure what that's about. I can see them fine. I've seen this happen before, it takes a while for the photos to show up. Maybe they're OK for you now?

The pics have tremendous resolution--I thought it was the K20. How much does this Raynox attachment cost?

I just received mine last week, just have not had a chance to use it yet. Looking at the pictures have conviced me it's time to take it out of the box.

Very nice! Do you know what are those orangey-red spheres (triangle of them) between the insect's eyes?

i just got one myself and it cost me 50$ from craigslist (mint, almost never used). Cool attachment and the fact that it's at the front means I dont have to bother unscrewing it like I would with teleconverters
