Absolute LBA?

What effect do we have when we review lenses and such? I am very thankful for all the information I have been able to gather here but I wonder at what expense.

Yeah, that auction went nuts - the going rate in the forum here seems to be ~$130, so I'd suggest looking for used at KEH or places like that, or post a WANTED here in the marketplace. Stay away from insane e-bay bidding wars like that... sheesh.

i agree, the forum has increased prices of lenses that should be available for reasonable prices like the Vivitar 105, Takumars, maybe even the Voigts SLI

I agree to some extent but I think there are more people bidding on these auctions than come to this forum. I know that I look here in the reviews and marketplace to get a rough idea of what should be the going price and will not bid over that amount myself. These forums may make us want more lens but it also gives a reality check of sorts as to what to expect to pay for them as well

That ebay price is mind blowing. Some people will pay anything.
Just goes to show, you have to do all your homework first and then, with full knowledge, proceed.
