^^^^ This.

I don't need any more lenses, other than a 200mm macro. Heck, it can even be manual focus, cause who need af on a macro.
I am in the exact same situation... Once I have a long macro I am pretty much set in terms of needs

It would be nice to make it weather sealed (I guess it would need to be for the *). Otherwise, I'm not sure it needs any changes. From its reputation improving the optics might be a tall order.
I laughed when I read your post.
Agree with you about weather sealing, some AW finish like the one of 150-450 would be a great improvement

Actually, I find AF very useful on my 200 macro lens. The question is; who needs AF in a wide angle lens?
Good question. I sure don't.

Me. My vision has lost resolution over the years and modern dslr's lack a good split screen finder for a reason. I just can't make out acceptable focus quickly or accurately enough without AF.

I dont have too many resolution problems yet, a bit though. But I also find AF very useful. I would love to have many AF points and an easy quick selection. Needless to say my pentax body is not there yet, which is why I am looking forward to testing K3 iii when available...
