Best sub 100 dollar Original "K" Lens?

Focal length doesn't matter. When I get a lil spending cash I really wanna go looking for one of the non marked SMC lenses from pentax just to have one in my collection and I was wondering which one performed the best at around the 100 or less price range.

55/1.8, for sure. The 55/2 is the same optical formula with a slightly smaller aperture in it, so either is a wonderful lens.
This was taken on the 1.8, wide open, on the K1000 with Fuji Superia 400 film:

or the K55 f2 - supposedly the lesser of the two (depending upon who you talk to) but I think it's just overlooked...

Any 50 f1.7 (K, M, A, F)
55 1.8
Or for $100 you can get like 3 copies of A50 f2: An under-appreciated but capable lens

Another vote for the 55 f1.8 or f2. They sell really cheap for some reason. It is as good as it gets in a vintage lens. Outstanding build and optics. You can get one for around $30 on fleabay.

Also, the K28 f3.5. A great walk around lens. Very good for landscapes too. Someone just had of these on the marketplace for a steal ($49). I came really close to getting it myself, even though I already have a perfect copy...it is that good.

SMC PENTAX 1:1.8/55 again.

Seems like every time I buy an old camera I get another one. I have three at this time . . . 2 are surplus . . .

1. 50/1.7 any version is good, should be $50 or under. (The M and A versions are a pleasure to use. F and FA aren't so much cos they AF and that is the pleasure area in A and Ms besides image quality and they may more than a 100 bucks cos they AF).
2. 55/1.8,2.0 may be slightly rarer than the 50/1.7 above and isn't going to be cheap (MF pleasure, but should find one in the ball park of $100)
3. 50/f2 underrated for a reason. Its soft but very cheap (MF pleasure, Sharpness suffers until stopped down and by quiet a few stops actually but dirt cheap on the used market probably cheapest of the lot).

1. There was no K 50/1.7, so that lens is moot to this discussion.

2. Plenty of 55/1.8s for less than $100. I wouldn't pay more than $50-60 for a 1.8 or $30-40 for a 2 (Unless it is attached to a camera). I see them on shopgoodwill all the time. Not as common as Taks or M series, but still available. (There is a KX with a 55/1.8 currently at $51)

3. M series lenses are moot to this discussion.

My K 50/1.4 & K 55/2 came from shopgoodwill attached to K1000s. I know I didn't pay $100 for either one. I did pay $60 for a 55/1.8 on eBay...
