MTO-11 helicoid cleaning / re-lubrication?

I recently picked up nice ЗМ-5СА and MTO-11 mirror lenses, both in excellent condition and great optically, but with very, very stiff focusing.

Based on information I found online, I've partially disassembled the ЗМ-5СА (taking the two halves apart), cleaned the threads on both halves and re-lubricated them, and I'm very happy with the result - the focus ring action is smooth and consistent throughout its rotation.

I now want to tackle the MTO-1000, but don't know if it's the same or similar procedure, or if there are any "gotchas" I should be aware of. I can't find any obvious details online, so I'm wondering if anyone here serviced their MTO-1000 focusing, and if so, can you offer any information or advice that would help me to get it right first time?

Many thanks in advance!
