1.7 Teleconverter compatibility

I'm considering purchasing a SMC Pentax-F 1.7x AF Adapter. Will this work well on non-Pentax lenses, say a Samyang 135mm?

Thanks

The 1.7 is mainly used with fast lenses and 50mm lenses (the brand should not matter) if I am not mistaken.

It should work just fine, just bear in mind that the AF adjustment range is smaller on telephoto lenses so you may need to use the focusing ring on the lens from time to time.
