Nikon / Canon lens on Pentax KAF

Hey Guys,
I am looking for a lensadapter so i can put Canon or Nikon lenses on my Pentax.
The adapter should have the possibility that the autofocus work.

I hope you can help me.

regards STEEW

The dilemma is the flange focal distance. Canon EF is 44mm and Nikon F is 46.5. Pentax K-mount is 45.46mm. As result, any adapter needs to have corrective optics to be able to focus to infinity and if you want AF to work, the various contacts will need to be fitted and configured such that the correct data is transmitted from the lens to the camera. I do not believe such adapters are available.

FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Canon FD Lens to FD-PK-G B&H

Limitations: Manual focus only, and additional optics that may or may not degrade the image, based on your standards.
I do not have this model of adapter, but do mount excellent Konica lenses on my K-1 with results that are
acceptable to me. YMMV.

True. Just presenting all possibilities.

Succinct and practical response.

Not all possibilities are practical, and in certain cases can be far more trouble than they are worth.

I for one appreciate the effort to give the OP a possible way to use his Canon lenses.

And I will prove my lack of sleep and coffee and remind that photography got along just fine without autofocus for 150 years. Prominent in many reviews are complaints that autofocus is slow, or noisy, or inaccurate, or was simply fooled by circumstance (yeah, I'm looking at you, Pentax). So in response, I'll propose Feb 30th to be Manual Focus Day, where photographers switch off autofocus, dial the shutter back from continuous to single, and actually look at the scene and twist both ways before gently pressing that button. Canon lenses can pull off this magic as well as any!

Assuming it might be a traumatic 24 hours, I wanted to allow the idea sufficient time to percolate.

...there's that coffee thing again.

There is the multimount: Pentax K+ Multi-Mount - Influential Photo Gear | PentaxForums.com

It will not give you AF, but that's as good as it gets.

And the commercial version exists here:

Products - Adaptist

I receive no remuneration for this shameless plug, unless I do. And I haven't used one either, so YMMV.

The F 1.7x has AF for MF lenses, here: SMC Pentax-F 1.7x AF Adapter Reviews - Pentax K-mount Teleconverters and Adapters - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database
Some 3rd party 2x converters are available, usually with some toll on IQ. So you are better off cropping.
