Which lens to use for photographing a four foot long suspension bridge model?

I am doing DIYphotography's 52 week challenge and this week is "Leading Lines-Tell a Story".

I found a four foot long model of a suspension bridge model in the neighborhood that the owners will let me photograph. I was going to put a couple of model cars on it to look like an accident.

Any suggestions on what lens to use. I have a 50, a 35, the 18-55 kit, a 10-20, a 90 and the 55-300.

I am leaning towards the wide end. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

It all depends on the perspective you'd like to achieve. The shorter the FL, the closer you'll have to get in order to achieve the same subject size, the more "stretched" it will look.
I think you could do with a mix of both things.

I'd bring the 10-20 and the 50 for sure, maybe something longer as well.

Having seen a couple of "toy camera" digital filter images, I wonder if it would enhance what you are trying to achieve? Might be worth a couple of shots.

How much space around the bridge do you have to work with may help make your decision and if you are going for the whole bridge or an abstracted part. 10-20 if space is tight, 35 for the most natural look, maybe the 55-300 is you have room to get a compressed look from an end, and the 50 if you want to blur background. I'd take all of those.

If you are going to use the 10-20, you should be careful to keep the camera level with the subject and not tilted, otherwise you will have a lot of distortion to deal with.

Everybody had given good pointers, thanks.

As for the question about the amount of space, there is very little.

I think I will try most of my lenses as has been recommended.

Thanks everyone.

My guess is the close-focusing properties of the kit lens will win the day. It would be a great subject for the Sigma 17-70, as that one focuses very closely.

If the 90 is a Macro, that may have some usefulness, too.
