Super Tak. 1:3.5/28 Haze 58mm and is it any good?

Sounds like two separate things.

Super Tak 28mm/3.5 is a very good lens indeed.

Haze 58mm would be a clear filter that screws onto the lens, only the 28mm takes a 49mm filter. Either this filter is actually 49mm or is meant for some other lens.

Actually the early and late model 1 Super-Tak f/3.5 28mm did take a 58mm filter. These were the 1962-65 lenses. If it's the early (1962) model 1, it will stop down to f/22. Late model 1 will only stop down to f/16. Post 1965 model 2 lenses went to the standard 49mm filter size. See View all Takumar lens types

Ah, then that would explain it - thanks for the info, I'd overlooked that lens. A real VINTAGE Tak then!

Especially if you have a pre-1964 H1a/S1a to mount it on.

Oh yes, I've not only heard of it I have one.

I like it a lot. Mine is the early model 1 that was mentioned above with the 58mm filter threads.

f stop up to 22.

And a cool metal hood to match.

That is a beautiful lens. Made circa 1962 and still has the sticker on it.
