Recently purchased the popular FA 50mm 1.4 and the D-FA 100mm 2.8.
The 50mm is great, love having the ability to open all the way too 1.4 - but almost everyone knows the positive attributes of the 50 1.4
The 100mm has surprised me, in a good way.
I've found that I have no hesitation using it at any aperature, while it is slightly sharper with more contrast at higher aperatures it is certainly very acceptable wide open.
Also I've found that the 100mm macro length is much more useful than the 50mm for almost everything! Especially insects....
A few samples from the first days...
