I've got a Cosinon Auto 50/1.8 and a Super Carenar 50/1.8 that are identical, but I've only ever found one reference to them on the internet, so I don't know how 'exotic' they are..
There's also a WEP Auto Weiton 35/2 on a shelf.

But my newest love it this:

Those that did the April single in challenge have seen it already. I did just finish the new adapter this weekend though.

It's a late 1880s petzval off a magic lantern lens.

If anyone is interested, I've started a blog (specially for projects like this, I hope there will be more!) and should have the first build post up this evening.

Brilliant stuff Dave! Looks cool too!

I have a mid 1950's Angenieux P1 90/1.8, M42 mount. Not sure whether it is classed as 'exotic' but it produces nice images.

Here's a sample image.

And that is simply beautiful!

I simply disassembled a Kodak 35RF that was beyond repair and superglued a K mount to the lens. The easiest way to shoot with it is to set the lens's built-in shutter to T to lock it open and use the DSLR's shutter to take the photo. But when I want to get fancy I set the DSLR to a long exposure and use the lens's own leaf shutter to take the photo.
Nice!

As a side benefit, you can probably get a slightly faster flash sync speed (1/200 vs. 1/180) and use old high-voltage flashes triggered by that Kodak lens.

My most exotic lens:

The Sun Hi-Tele Zoom, and Sun Auto-Tele Zoom:

Well, this is exotic on a Pentax camera, anyway:

Russian swirly lenses...and the one on the right has a square aperture:

And a Zeiss:

The colours and renders from the 50Tessar 2.8 are superb, the optical design is more than 100 years old 😃

And here it is on a defunct K100D:
Yep, I need one.

I am working on a few projects right now where I am adapting lenses from few old folding cameras to my k50 / a6300 using bellows. When I get them put together I will post pictures!

I think using a sears 80-200 would get some interesting looks from other photographers, does that count as exotic?

Apologies - I thought the title said "erotic", I was quite confused

Tamron SP 180mm f2.5 35th Anniversary Edition is the closest to "exotic" that I have, still very capable....

...with backlighting:

...at Max aperture:

a Kino Precision Japan Kiron 28mm F2 MC P/KA

is it exotic?

well I understand my version being a PK/A version is rare

" Fast 28mm wide angle, also sold under the Vivitar marque, can be found in M42, PK and, more rarely, PKA, mounts. "

depends upon whose version of the definition you are using... of course, you could just use it & not worry about it....

One that I guess we could call exotic:

Carl Zeiss Ultron 50/1,8 ver. 2 (m42). Restored to as-new working order but with original finish and patina. It has a concave front element.
