DFA 70-200 on K1 with 70-200 g2 on d810

I dont know..
There is new video of CameraVille, where he compared DFA 70-200 on K1 with 70-200 g2 on 810, and you may be surprised by the result.

His copy was front focussing and he had no idea.
I can only question his skills, or his motivation.

My copy is punishingly sharp wide open on both my K-3 and K-1.

His results with the Pentax 70-200 are much worse than mine- Failed to make focus adjustments? Bad copy? I don't know, but it's simply a much better lens than the results he was getting from it show.

have you commented on YouTube - I don't want to launch a Revenge of the Pentaxians type of thing, but he's simply wrong.

I don't have this problem with the DFA*70-200 I use. It's sharp wide open. He must have something wrong with his setup, especially, I don't recall any AF issue with outdoor light.

The difference in colour is probably Lightroom supporting camera profiles from the Nikon and not from the Pentax.

He was using DNG files for the K-1

Yes, Lightroom supports all the new Pentax lenses for the K1.

It's almost as if he was using a crappy UV filter on the lens.

Plus one has to question his K-1 AF - and Lightroom - settings.

I didn't want to say anything when this guy was praising the K-1 without actually saying much - as people seemed happy about it - but... the result was predictable

This review is a bit surprising. I would like to see Pentax Forums repeat this comparison, no offense to Cameraville but I think this site would do a much more thorough review and comparison.
