Is the focusing fixed in later firmware upgrades for the Sigma 30/1.4 ART

I am considering buying this lens, but the focus seems abysmal. I am considering buying the ART dock. Does this fix the focusing issues on this lens?

Last I looked neither the 30 ƒ1.4 or the 18-35 ƒ1.8 had any firmware updates for the Pentax version.

I think it still depends on the luck of the draw, but in any case the dock helps alleviate the issue. You could also get a lens that doesn't need any adjustments at all.

IMO, the best thing to do would be to buy the lens and exchange it if it has severe focusing issues, then apply fine adjustments to make things perfect.

I found a used one for $300, I ordered a Sigma dock with it. I can't find much information otherwise since the dock was released for Pentax so I'm going to report back in about a week.

I decided to take a gamble on a used one. With single point AF it seems pretty reliable so far, though I wasted some time with the dock before figuring that out. Multi point is right out.
