The standard hood works very well. I use it every time.

Occasionally I see a tiny corner vignette. On those rare occasions a 5% crop, slight rotation or different aspect ratio (all of which I frequently do for compositional reasons) sorts it out toot sweet.

Possibly since I have only 1, but the other ones seem take smaller lens caps then the original. For instance one of the above mentioned hoods accepts 55mm caps. Plus I was only playing it safe. I doubted that the original hood was causing any problems, but if this rubber one did I could collapse it some.
