How do I fine tune focus of my 60-250 for use with the 1.4 teleconverter (the Pentax 1.4 HD DA)?

My images are soft with the 60-250 and maybe it is the focusing with the teleconverter in place.

first do some focusing testing with the lens only, and then with the TC. Also try the TC with other lenses if possible to try to isolate where the issue is.
Know that on pixel peeping, any TC will theoretically loose some sharpness versus no TC at all. Nevertheless, that one should perform very well, so best to determine the cause.
