You are right, number of aperture blades is an important factor. Just wanted to complete the list

The DA15 and DA21 limiteds both have seven blades. I'm sure it's one of the reasons their starbursts are so revered.

There were some cheap compact film cameras as well some Polaroids that made what I'll call an oblique four-pointed highlight.

Sometimes lens flares in those cameras were interpreted as photographs of angels or other benevolent spirits...
