Does anyone heard something about Elicar lenses?

I bought a 35mm f2.8, M42 screwmount for a piece of bread but I cant find much info about it.
My first impression is not bad... The lense is a bit soft wide open and highly prone to flare.
Things are getting better at f5.6 and even better at f8.

Here's some pics of the lense and a sample shot @ f4.

Elicar had something like a 90mm macro lens in the lineup in the 90s for quite some time that was considered quite decent.
Your 35mm looks like a 70's design.
