I have too many lenses to list here, but I have the focal length covered with my 17-70 SDM which I do love. I also already have the FA 43 and FA77, so buying the FA 31 first would complete my trifecta.
Before anyone asks about a future K1, yes I will be buying one in the next couple of months and no, that isn't swaying me from the lens. I wasn't that interested until I saw some shots and reviews on the lens. Now I'm very interested in this as a walk around WR lens.
Certainly!
Don't buy one.
Don't even consider it.
You don't need it.
You will not notice any difference in the photographs you take with it compared to the lenses you now own.
You have been reading threads populated with posts of those people who were weak-willed and bought one.
Now they are trying to justify their own weakness by convincing you (and others) to buy one.
If they can convince you then they will feel better because it helps convince them that they actually did the right thing.
Finally, (and most importantly) are you really using your present lenses to their full potential? If so, then completely ignore everything I have already said.
There...did that help at all?
EDIT - Of course Pentax (and every other camera company) would shortly go out of business if everyone followed this advice.
