My A50/1.7 is good enough, my FA43 way better.

Under rated lens, to be sure. At f5.6 or f8 it will possibly be just as sharp as the new Star lens.

Have you used any of the new DFA lenses? With the exception of the limiteds they are a huge jump in quality over the current FA offerings.

That's fine for certain applications, but it can't occupy the niche this new lens intends to fill.
